I took almost the whole week off last week and pretty much stopped my poking around the internet with distractions and what not. SO, yeah, i missed this gem last week but discovered it today.
Superchunk covers The Cure
The Cure are one of those bands that gets covered a lot. With good reason. The originals are still played as much as anything on the radio. They just are that good. This is another example where a band from a similar era covers one of their contemporaries. You can almost hear the respect superchunk have for this song. I think they did a damn good job with it too. There is also a Superchunk song on the AV Club list, but my doubt of the cure doing the cover is pretty solid.
